South Anaheim on the UP Santa Ana Branchline consist of the area between Cerritos Ave and Katella Ave. The area was once a hotbed for box cars due to a very busy Coors bottle facility that was a key customer. The sidings passed the Tustin wye (when it exsisted as such) were usually full of box cars used to ship out beer giving it the nickname of Beer Alley by a fellow railfan and photographer Jeff Bass. In addition to Coors, there was and still is a facility for the Orange County Register on this leg. Another current customer is Hobbs Trucking. Both these customers receive paper. The Coors plant is no longer an active rail customer and the surrounding area is now occasionally populated by long strings of box cars, but they are of the High Cube variety and contain paper.
As mentioned above, the Tustin wye is located in this area also. It no longer has a south leg, but the Tustin branchline does connect to lead to points east.
