Whittier, CA ... Located on the eastern side of Los Angeles County. Whittier has a restored SP depot in it's downtown district as well as an outstanding bridge that once saw trains running on the UP Salt Lake and Los Angeles route. Train activity through the area these days is limited to the Fullerton Local (LOA36R) running through enroute from Los Nietos yard in Santa Fe Springs. The route used is former Southern Pacific ROW.
