Just east of the rail being layed, another section was being built. This time they were laying ties. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

The rail is measured by two workers. They measured the length and spacing, made a few more adjustments with the Cat and then started on the rail with rubber mallats. | The ties are dumped or pulled off the fork-lift attachment on the Cat. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

After everything east of West Street was completed they came back and replaced a small section just east of the 5 freeway overpass.
