Cajon Pass - Mormon Rocks ... Located along Hwy 138. On the west side of Interstate 15 where the large rocks are near the Best Western. Take 138 west and just before you start to head over the 2 tracks, there is a small road on the right. This will give you access to the area. To your left is the BNSF North track and a bit further West is the UP Palmdale line. To your right is the BNSF south track. If you intend to spend time here, please obey all signs instructing that cars stay out of the wash. It is deep sand and a non 4x4 will get stuck. If you wish to access the wash, please do so on foot. Cross the wash with caution. Great perspectives can be accessed with a bit of careful hiking and creativity in this area.
